We had the opportunity to sit down with Vittorio Frontini, founder of Frontini Architetti, to discuss how greenery is redefining the design approach in the world of architecture. From residential projects to public infrastructures, Vittorio shares the studio's vision which sees greenery not just as an aesthetic complement but as a vital component and integral part of the architectural project.
Frontini Architetti was born with a passion for residential projects but quickly evolved towards the public sector, spanning through a variety of contexts and design challenges. Our vision is based on the integration of greenery as a fundamental element, which goes beyond aesthetics to influence the very structure of buildings and urban spaces.
We are currently focusing on a healthcare building and the expansion of an airport, both projects that see a central role for greenery. This approach not only responds to a growing demand for connection with nature but also to a need for well-being and environmental health.
Greenery has become one of the cornerstones of our work, influencing the organization of spaces and creating new visual and perceptual relationships. Thanks to advanced technologies and collaboration with specialized companies, we are able to integrate greenery in increasingly innovative ways, making it an integral part of the architectural experience.
Technology plays a key role, allowing us to overcome traditional limitations related to the maintenance of greenery and to explore new design possibilities. Integrated irrigation and lighting systems enable us to extend the use of greenery, improving the quality of the spaces we design.
"Balance" is what we seek in every project. A balance between architecture and context, between spaces and users, aiming to create environments that are at the same time beautiful, functional, and sustainable.
Through this interview with Vittorio Frontini, the commitment of Frontini Architetti to a design that focuses on human well-being and integration with the environment emerges. Their pursuit of a balance between form and function, together with the valorization of greenery as a structural element, represents a significant contribution to the landscape of contemporary architecture.
