Gennaro, your studio has a very specific focus. Can you tell us more?

Certainly, Giorgio. Studio Architetto Gennaro Columpsi is primarily dedicated to residential architecture in the private sector, with a strong focus on urban regeneration and the integration of greenery in both outdoor and indoor spaces. The pandemic has further accentuated the importance of these aspects, pushing us to design livable areas that extend the concept of living beyond the domestic walls.

Are there any projects in particular that you would like to talk about?

Yes, I would like to mention two projects that best represent our philosophy. The first, concluding in 2019, received the CasaClima certification for its focus on energy saving and the quality of outdoor spaces. The second, still under construction, pushes the idea of greenery even further with a "horizontal forest", creating staggered terraces designed specifically to host plants and contribute to urban biodiversity.

And what about indoor greenery?

Indoor greenery has become a key component in our projects. We experiment with new technologies, such as lamps for plants and advanced irrigation systems, to ensure that these integrated green spaces improve not just the aesthetics but also the air quality and livability of interiors.

So, is greenery managed at a condominium level in your projects?

Exactly. In our latest project, we have implemented a greenery management system that goes beyond mere maintenance. Indoor green walls and flowerbeds on elevated floors are collectively cared for, making greenery a fundamental and integrated element in the living fabric of the condominium.

All this seems perfectly in line with your philosophy of urban regeneration.

Absolutely. For us, urban regeneration means enhancing existing fabrics, avoiding uncontrolled expansion and promoting instead the requalification of already built spaces. It's a way to combat real estate speculation and to improve the quality of urban life, creating sustainable and inclusive environments.

A mission more relevant than ever today.

We are convinced that this is the path to follow. It's our contribution to the community and the environment, trying to leave a better world than we found it.

Thank you, Gennaro, for sharing your vision and innovative projects with us.

Thank you, Giorgio, for the opportunity to have this dialogue.

In this enlightening conversation, Gennaro Columpsi has shown how Studio Architetto Gennaro Columpsi is advancing a design vision that responds to contemporary needs for sustainability and urban livability, reaffirming.
