This project is the result of an international competition that Studio Transit has won in 2006.
More than a building, this architectural complex represents an "urban measure", which includes office spaces and services, functions connected to each other through a careful and calibrated articulation of interior spaces, gardens and passages.
The landscape has been moved from the horizontal plane to the vertical one, introducing 9 Vertical Gardens.
Numerous Vertical Gardens cover the partitions of the pilotis on the outside, and insidiously and playfully continue their course on the inside, in the forms of lush architectural elements, differentiating color, texture and feel of the spaces.
Bathed in natural light, their bright colors accentuate, the linearity of the structural elements softens: thus nature enters in harmony with the architecture.
At the entrance, the wasabi-coloured MOSSwall® has been installed on the wall behind reception as a backdrop to the Angelini Industries logo.
MOSSwall ® was used to clad the lift shafts of four stairwells, each more than 20 metres high.
LEED PLATINUM CERTIFICATION
n Rome, only 10 buildings have obtained LEED Platinum certification. One of these is the new headquarters of the Angelini Industries. Platinum level is the highest level of certification.
Green Walls can contribute to obtaining the building's LEED® certification.
The L22 Engineering & Sustainability project has made it possible to achieve a #energysavings of 35%, which corresponds to about 300/400 cars stopped in a year, and a drinking water saving of 69.8% or about 43,000 showers.
